Brenda Anlauf, 79, transitioned from this life to be with her Lord and Savior on November 23, 2023. She lived most of her final years in Jasper, GA, until dementia forced a change of residence to The Canton Nursing and Rehab Center. There, she was lovingly cared for until the end. Brenda was born in Mohegan, WV. She later lived in Bluefield, VA where she graduated from Graham High School. She was the second of six children, three brothers and two sisters; Ron Francis, Sandra Day, Cheryl Goodwin, Bill Francis, and David Francis.
At the age of 18, she left Virginia and moved to Augusta, Georgia, where her older brother Ron was stationed with the U.S. Army. Brenda spent the rest of her life in Georgia. Through her life, Mrs. Anlauf enjoyed staying fit, running the Peachtree Road Race on a few occasions. She loved taking care of her plants (including a 30+ year old philodendron) and staying busy around the house when she wasn't working. Besides her family, she was most proud of acquiring a degree in nursing while also raising three children. She retired from the Atlanta Allergy and Asthma clinic in 2010, where she had been loved by staff and patients alike. Brenda is survived by her three adult children; Steven Hardy, Lesley Flathmann, and Raegan Newton. She is also remembered by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A delayed memorial service is planned to be held at the "In Their Honor of Jasper Funerals and Cremations", located at 481 Noah Dr., Jasper, Georgia, December 15, 2023.
