Carma, born to William and Dorothy Rumsey of Omaha, Nebraska, lived most of her life there and was involved with many social and community activities including the Kiwanis International Club. She worked as the front office manager for a Surgeon at the hospital in Omaha.
Her love of music brought many special people into her life such as Englebert Humperdinck for whom she was President of his fan Club “Enge’s Huskers” of Omaha, NE.
She was also a tremendous fan of the Irish group Celtic Thunder and Byrne and Kelly and enjoyed traveling across the country to attend their shows. She acquired many many friends along the way who loved her dearly and will miss her ever so much.
Carma spent the last 18 months of her life as a resident of Lumpkin County, Georgia with her Bonus Family: Ronald, Anita, and Blake Castleberry and her Boston Terrier, Annie. There she enjoyed country living, bird watching, and gardening. She traveled the mountains and loved all the little towns of North Georgia.
She is preceded in death by her husband Paul Pacaj, daughter Kimberly Marie Pacaj and survived by sister-in-law Euginia Pacaj all of Omaha, Nebraska.
She leaves behind many special friends that she traveled with over the years and who came to her call for help when her daughter passed away unexpectedly in 2020 including: Stephanie Fram, Jennifer and Mike Boze, Anjeanette and Ashely Schmidt, Ken and Joanne Ray, Meghan Hannum, Angela Keller, Debra Houseman, and Anne Clevenger.
A Very Special Thank you goes to her Personal Caregivers: Kristi Thomas, Misti Mullen, Cindy DeLee, Melissa Duke, and Michelle Nall.
