The family of Charles J. Pritchard would like to announce his death on Saturday evening, January 11, 2020. He died peacefully in his home.

Charles ( a.k.a. “Speedy“ ) Was born on March 21, 1955 to C.C. (Cotton) Prichard and Virginia Jordan in Tennessee. He moved to Jasper and became a life – long resident when he was approximately nine years – old, when his father and mother, Cotton and Liz, first opened the original Speedburger, Which is still in operation today on Church Street.

Speedy was preceded in death by his father, C.C., (Cotton) Pritchard; biological Mother, Virginia Jordan; and infant daughter, Devyon Grace Prichard. He is survived by his partner and wife of 25 years, Rachel Camp Prichard of Jasper; Stepmother (“Mom”), Elizabeth (Liz) Green Pritchard of Jasper; Sisters, Debbie Brand (Bill) and Cindy Heath (Billy), Both of Jasper; Brother, James Robert Pritchard of Towne Lake; and Son, James Dean Pritchard of Atlanta. Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

In Lieu of flowers, the Family asked that donations be made in honor of Charles to Georgia Mountain Hospice in Jasper. Speedy loved his life. He loved his home, his wife, his family, and his friends. He will be missed.

In Their Honor of Jasper is humbled and honored to have taken care of all of the families needs and Charles’ Final Arrangements.
