Debra Landrum, a cherished soul who brought light and love to those around her, passed away on March 20, 2025, in Calhoun, Georgia, at the age of 65. Born on January 3, 1960, in East Point, Georgia, Debra was a beacon of warmth and compassion whose presence was felt deeply by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Debra’s educational journey took her through the halls of Russell High School, where she forged friendships and created memories that would last a lifetime. She carried with her a passion for life, embracing every moment with an open heart and an infectious smile.
Those who had the honor of sharing their lives with Debra will remember her as a joyful spirit who loved going to church, finding solace and community in her faith. Her love extended beyond the pews; it was evident in her adoration for her dogs and the precious time she spent with her grandbabies, Carter and Delilah Landrum. As a grandmother, she was a source of unconditional love, showering her grandchildren with affection, wisdom, and a sense of wonder that only a grandparent can offer.
Debra will be profoundly missed by her loving family, including her son, Austin Landrum, and daughter-in-law, Mkaela Landrum. She is also survived by her younger sisters, Sharon Teems and Angela Landrum, and her older brother, Kenneth Landrum. Additionally, her younger brother, Daryl Sorrows, will forever hold her memory close to his heart.
Although Debra's physical presence has left this earth, she is reunited in spirit with those who have gone before her - her beloved father, Kenneth Landrum Sr., and her mother, Beverly Ann Sorrows, as well as her younger brother, Darren Sorrows.
In celebrating Debra’s life, we reflect on her gentle spirit and the joy she brought into every room she entered. Her legacy is one of love, faith, and the bonds of family that will continue to thrive in the hearts of those she leaves behind. She will be remembered fondly and missed dearly by all who had the true pleasure of knowing her.
