Denise Helen Humphreys

We would like to honor the life of Denise Humphreys, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who brightened the lives of those around her. Denise was called to Heaven on April 20, 2023, at the age of 67.

She was born July 23, 1955, in Salford, England to James and Edna Lord and has five sisters and two brothers, Les, Julie, Bob (deceased), Susan, Gillian, Steve, and Joanne.

Denise and Derrick met as children who lived on the same street in Manchester, England and got reacquainted in their early 20’s. They were married on September 3 ^rd , 1977. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and joy. They have three loving children Rachel, Stuart, and Adam. During their 45-year marriage they have had so many fun-filled adventures with memories to last a lifetime. She was residing in Woodstock, Georgia at the time of her passing.

Denise lived her life with an immense sense of adventure and vitality, it was not often that Denise and Dek would let one of those fun opportunities pass them by. She recently took a short sabbatical to England to see and enjoy her family and friends. Denise loved soccer and going to her grandchildren’s volleyball, soccer, baseball, softball, and football games. She had a big heart and would do whatever she could to help and positively impact the lives of others. She was happiest spending time with family and friends. Enjoying the simple pleasures and living in the moment, she was an inspiration to those around her.

Denise is survived by her husband, Derrick, her children, their spouses, and grandchildren, Rachel and Ryan Bartel, Stuart and Angie Humphreys with their children Peyton, Rylee, Carter, and Adam and Connie Humphreys with their children Addison, Harrison, and Hudson.

Her service will be held at 11am on Friday April 28 ^th , 2023, at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, 490 Arnold Mill Rd, Woodstock, GA 30188

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Denise can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or to a charity of your choice.
