Denny Lugenia (Gina) Pickelsimer, age 74, of Morganton, Georgia passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.
Gina was born in Blue Ridge, Georgia on June 9th, 1948 to the late Kenith Jackson Pickelsimer Sr. and Cora Elizabeth Scroggs Pickelsimer Payne. She worked many years for the Georgia Department of Family and Children Services as well as a licensed practical nurse.
Gina is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Kenith Pickelsimer Jr.
Survivors include: her wife, Jan Seymour; her sister, Frances (Bill) Reilly; brothers, Van (Robin) Pickelsimer and Don (Darlene) Pickelsimer; sister in-law, Neaomi Pickelsimer; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Gina was a loving wife, sister, aunt and friend. She enjoyed being outdoors, bird watching, planting flowers, lawn work and being in nature. She loved her family unconditionally and was always there for them.
A gathering to celebrate Gina’s life was Saturday, September 10th, 2022 at Upper Wilscot Cemetery at 3PM with Reverend Maureen Roe officiating.
