March 24, 1950 - March 14, 2021

Donna Elaine (Everett) Anderson peacefully passed away in her home in Canton, GA on March 14, 2021 just shy of her 71st birthday.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion Albin Everett and Geneva Mary Elizabeth (Wilson)Everett.  She is survived by her husband of 48 years, John (Andy) Anderson.  They dedicated many years of their lives to the family business, Andy Anderson Trucking, and loved to travel and enjoy music together.  Donna is also survived by her children; Scott Anderson (Patty Anderson) and Sara Dollar (Joseph Dollar); her siblings; Ronald Everett (Janet) and Roger Everett; her grandchildren; Seaira, Isla, Lucia, Patricia, and Jemma; many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

Donna was born in Chickamauga, GA on March 24th, 1950.  She attended The University of Georgia and received a Bachelors degree in Accounting.  She utilized her proficiency with numbers and accounting as the CFO for the family business. She married Andy in 1972.  Scott was born in 1975, Sara in 1981. Donna was both homemaker and accountant, and she balanced it well while keeping the business successful with Andy.  She loved watching her kids enjoy their activities and was an active football, music, and dance mom.  Donna and Andy built their forever home in Canton together in 1995, and she enjoyed warm family gatherings there.  The lights of her life were her 5 granddaughters and she supported and loved them fiercely. She is and will continue to be greatly missed by the ones who loved her.

A concert will be held in Tampa, FL on June 11th in her memory, and a celebration of life ceremony will take place on June 12th at Safety Harbor Community Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Amedisys Foundation in Donna’s name, as this is the hospice organization that supported Donna and the family through their difficult journey.

An additional gathering in Georgia to be announced for later this summer.
