Douglas "Doug" Lee Owen

Douglas “Doug” Lee Owen, age 43, of Canton, Georgia, went to be with Jesus peacefully as his loved ones stood by his side after an extended hospital stay on Thursday, August 24, 2023. Douglas was born on August 13, 1980 and was the only child of Kathy Hulsey and Dewey Owen. He was preceded in death by grandparents: Glenda Ezell, Velma Christian, Paul Owen and mother-in-law: Melinda Cook. Douglas is survived by his wife Tina Owen, Grandfather Paul Ezell, Mother Kathy Hulsey, Father Dewey Owen, Step mother Jennifer Owen, Son Austin Lee Owen, Daughters Lillian Dawn Owen, Peyton Graceliegh Pendley Owen, Ryleigh Mae Pendley Owen, Addison Irene Pendley Owen, Step son Daniel Cook, half sister Stacy Sheets, half brother Jason Trent, step son Daniel Cook, father-in-law Clifford Cook, Children's mother Tresa Pendley. Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many more family members and some amazing friends also survive. Douglas was a very loving grandson, son, brother, uncle, and friend; but most of all, he was a loving dad to his five children. Douglas would always find a way to put a smile on your face. He would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He was a hard worker and loved to spend time with his loved ones. Douglas is loved by all who knew him and is missed by the ones that surround him. Above all Douglas was A child of God and we can all be certain he is in Heaven reunited with loved ones who passed before him that he missed dearly while on earth. Remember that Douglas would want us to stay strong for one another and to pull together and be there for all of his kid’s though all this.
