Heinz August Schmid

Heinz was born January 23, 1944 in Wuerzburg, Germany.  We were married in 1966 and five years later his employment brought Heinz, me and his young daughter to the United States.

In his line of work Heinz travelled extensively throughout the United States where he met many people and made life-long friends.  He especially enjoyed motorcycle touring with his friends both in the United States and Europe and often times served as tour guide -- a service that generated many fond memories and appreciation from his friends.  As a couple we enjoyed 'vintage car' touring with our friends where we oftentimes made memorable stops at various mountain functions, restaurants and wineries.

Heinz cherished his life-long friends and received their heartfelt friendship in return. He truly was a good friend to many and a beloved husband to me.
