Jean Clarke

Mrs. Jean Clarke, age 96, passed away peacefully on November 19 ^th , 2024. Jean was born August 12 ^th , 1928 in Oakland, CA to Lorrine and John Nave. She grew up in California and was very active in school music clubs. She had a love for music and piano and majored in music in college. Along with being a very loving and devoted mother and grandmother, Jean spent her entire adult life participating in church activities and singing in church choirs with her beloved husband of 75 years, Thomas K. Clarke. In 1996, Jean and Tom moved to Georgia where she enjoyed working in her church office, forming special friendships, and later enjoying a happy life of retirement with Tom. Jean was an avid reader and enjoyed puzzling. She always lit up a room with her big smile and happy personality. Jean is predeceased by her parents and brother, her beloved husband, Tom, and her son, John. She is survived by her children, Lynn Sherer (Gary) and Doug Clarke (Betsy); her daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Clarke, her 6 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Jean adored her family and will be truly missed by all who knew her.
