Jeanne Casimir

Mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, our beloved Jeanne Casimir left this world on May 8th, 2021 at the age of 71. Jeanne, known as "BeBe" by her friends and family, was born in beautiful Caribbean Island of Dominica.

She was born to Augustas and Philomen Casimir on June 26th, 1950 and came from a large family of four sisters and three brothers. Growing up in humble beginnings she learnt early on in life the value of hard work and living a simple life. She always fostered an entrepreneurship spirit and was known to advising her son, nieces, nephews, stepchildren, and friends of being financially independent and importance of family. When she moved to St Thomas, USVI though she made a success of her life she still held on to her old value of simple life and family togetherness. Like most Islanders BeBe loved her native land’s culture and carnival.

She is survived by her son Nathan Massicotte; god daughter Keron Richards; brothers Cuthbert “PapiSon ”Casimir and Leo “Cece” Casimir; sisters Varonique “Miss Jones” Blaize, Margaret “Too Bebe” Cruz, Desemonia “Mona” Henry and Victoria “Rosie” Eudovique; and several relatives and friends; too numerous to mention.
Her family would like to express great appreciation to the staff at the Mali’s Personal Care Home of Lawrenceville, GA. For many years the staff there provided exceptional care for her until her untimely passing. Words cannot express the gratitude our family has for their loving care.

The viewing is scheduled for 2-4pm Saturday, May 22, 2021 followed by a memorial service at 4pm at the In the Honor of Jasper funeral home.
