John Paul Blackwell

John Paul Blackwell, age 84, died peacefully at his home in Ranger, Georgia, surrounded by family on June 28, 2023.  Born June 24, 1939 in Weatherly, Pennsylvania, to Charles and Mary (Maleski) Blackwell, John was preceded in death by his wife Alice (Williams); daughter Corinne (Piemonte) of Saint Marys, Kansas; son Chris of Weatherly, Pennsylvania; sister Yvonne (Fertic) of Vero Beach, Florida.  Survivors include sister Rita of Reading, Pennsylvania; sister Lucy (Busher) of Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania; son Rickey (Carnes) of Ranger, Georgia; daughter Sandra (Messex) of Rockmart, Georgia; daughter Denise (Rainey) of Saint Marys, Kansas; daughter Darlene (Childers) of Ranger, Georgia; son Michael of Saint Marys, Kansas.  John is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Private funeral arrangements have been made with In Their Honor of Jasper Funerals and Cremations.  Please pray for the repose of his soul.
