Joy Evelyn Warden
Joy was born on December 23rd, 1955 in Staten Island, NY to Peter and Joan Formica.
Joy is survived by Terry Warden (husband), Tiffany Smelley (husband Christopher), Miranda Maxam (daughters) both reside in Alabama; sister Nanette Stuart (Barry), nephews: Heath and Timothy Warren and their wives, children, 3 granddaughters and 1 great granddaughter; stepchildren: Kendra Hunter (Matt), Kanyon Petti (Vince), Kallie Ferrell (Johnathan) and Terry Warden II, along with 11 step grandchildren.
Joy was a graduate of South Broward High School in Hollywood, FL in 1973.
Not only was Joy proficient in bookkeeping and an excellent cook but she was also a talented musician and had an aptitude for learning new and interesting hobbies.
Fast forwarding to her years in Jasper that began in the mid 1980's......
Joy worked for many years as a waitress and later in office management at the Woodbridge Inn. She also worked as a cook at the Speedburger. She was well known and appreciated for her hard work and diligent efforts.
On January 16, 2009 Joy was privileged to become wife to Terry Drew Warden.
Together they built a life of peaceful contentment. What a blessing to spend the final 15 years of your life with someone who cares deeply for you. For this she was truly grateful.
There will be a Celebration in remembrance of Joy's life Sunday, May 21st 2023 beginning at 2:00pm at the Bad Donkey Art Center located at 75 N Main St. Jasper, GA 30143.
Please know that all who wish to attend are welcome to join the family at this occasion. Joy will be deeply missed.
