Linda Hicks November 21, 1947 - November 21, 2023, Jasper, Georgia.

Linda Hicks, affectionately known as "Lu Lu" by all of her sisters, nieces and nephews, passed away peacefully on her 76th birthday,  NOVEMBER 21, 2023. She was born on November 21, 1947, in Atlanta, Georgia, to the late Robert and Ethel Lunsford. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Fred Samuel Hicks. Linda will be deeply missed by her loving family and friends. She worked hard and loved spending time with her best friend Betty. But, most of all, she loved her son, daughter-in-law and grand children with all of her heart, almost as much as shopping. Linda was the first woman to become a Store Manager for A&P Grocery, following in the footsteps of her father. It is here where she met her loving husband, Fred, which she was married to for 27 years until the day he died. Linda leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

Linda is survived by her son, Travis Ginn; her Daughter-in-law, Stacey Barrett; Grandchildren, Alexandria Ginn and Paxton Keever; Her sisters, Barbara-Jo Mathis, Beverly Stowe, Lori Brown and Debra Anderson; Brother-in-laws Steve Mathis Eddie Stowe; and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews who all adored Lu Lu.

Funeral services will be arranged in the near future at In Their Honor Funeral Home in Jasper, Georgia. Friends and family will be welcome to attend the service, where Reverend Steve Mathis will officiate. Linda’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She will be remembered for her loving heart, spunky spirit, and love for her family. May she finally rest in eternal peace with her husband in heaven at the feet of Jesus
