Linda Marie Spears

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linda Marie Spears, a loving mother, cherished friend, and a pillar of strength to her family. She departed this world on October 19, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and kindness.

Born March 31, 1943 Linda spent her formative years in Michigan. She was a woman of enduring love and commitment, having raised three wonderful children with her first husband, the late Earl Vermuelen. Her children, Annette, William (Bill), and Earl Jr (Butch), are a testament to the love and care she bestowed upon them.

Education played an important role in Linda's life. She was a graduate of Dundee High School's class of 1961, an accomplishment that she held dear to her heart.

In life, Linda found love and companionship once more, sharing her journey with her beloved husband, the late Elmo J. Spears. Elmo was a loving father to his three children, Danny, Kim, and Stacey, who joined Linda's extended family, creating bonds that will forever endure.

Linda truly enjoyed life to its fullest and enjoyed many activities including riding motor cycles, camping, hunting, fishing and many others.  In her later years, Linda called Crossville, TN, her home. She was an active member of the community and found solace and camaraderie at the senior center, where she often engaged in spirited card games with her dear friends. Her laughter and presence brought light to the lives of those around her, and she will be dearly missed by her companions in these friendly gatherings.

Memorial services will be held in Michigan and Crossville, TN at a later date.

In memory of LInda Spears, we reflect on the joy she brought to our lives and the love that will forever remain in our hearts. She leaves behind a profound impact and a cherished place in our memories, as we bid her a fond farewell.
