Michael Gordon Woodall

Monday afternoon, August 31, 2020, Michael Gordon Woodall, loving husband, father, son, and friend, passed away at Piedmont Mountainside hospital at the age of 58. He passed away in the company of his wife Barbara Woodall, daughter Maxie Woodall, and father Gary Woodall.

Michael was born in Atlanta, Georgia on August 10, 1963 to Gary and Shirley Woodall. He married his wife Barbara Woodall, together they adopted and raised their daughter Maxie Woodall.

Michael was a very caring person always willing to help out when you needed it. He volunteered at Grandview fire department for 5 years and worked as former operations chief and captain at Bent Tree Public safety for 8 years. In his free time he loved to do woodwork, hunt, and spend time with his family.

Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley. He is survived by his wife, Barbara, daughter, Maxie, Brothers, Barry and Derek, father, Gary, and several uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.

We are honored the family is having a memorial service this Friday, September 4, 2020. here at our funeral home. Our address is 481 Noah Drive, Jasper, Ga. The family will receive guest starting at 1:00 p.m. and the service will begin at 2:00 p.m.

The family has requested in lieu of flowers donations be made to Maxie for College. Maxie is a Senior at Pickens High School and will graduate this Spring 2021. Barbara has requested those donations be made by Venmo @Maxie-Woodall.
