Monroe W Owen

Monroe Wm.Owen, age 86, of Acworth, Georgia, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2024. Monroe was born in Hot Springs, Arkansas on July 8, 1937, son of Ezra and Eva Owen who had preceded him in death, as had his brother and two sisters.

He was married to Barbara on June 7, 1987 and in 2003 they moved to Acworth. He is survived by his wife and 4 children, from a previous marriage, son JefferyOwen, daughters Lisa Owen, Regina Warren and an adopted son, Michael Owen. He has 4 grand children and 3 great grandchildren.

Monroe was a baptized Jehovah’s Witness and belonged to the Cedarcrest Congregation in Dallas, Georgia.

Monroe was a very hard worker all his life. He was a logger and a heavy equipment operator who built roads and other things. In his latter years, he was a cattle rancher in Texas.

There will be a Memorial service for Monroe on June 22, 2024 at the Kingdom Hall ofJehovah’s Witnesses located at 77 Somerset Drive, Dallas, GA 30132 just off the Dallas Acworth Hwy.
