Patricia Gray

Patricia Gray, a beloved wife and mother, passed away on January 22, 2025, in Kingston, Georgia, at the age of 68. Born on October 2, 1956, in Fort Belvoir Virginia, she was the cherished daughter of Col. William Massengale and Mildred Massengale, who predeceased her.

Patricia was a proud graduate of the University of Georgia, class of 1978. Her years of education ignited in her a passion for creativity that would define her life. She expressed this creativity through her artistic talents in various forms, including painting and sculpting. Patricia had a special gift for decorating cakes for Honeymoon Bakery, a talent that brought joy to many. She also took great delight in hand assembling fine jewelry, pouring love and care into every piece she created.

Her greatest pride, however, lay in her family. Patricia was a devoted wife to David Gray, who stood by her side through the years, sharing in the laughter and challenges of life. Together, they raised three beautiful daughters—Erin Gray Cantrell of Rome, Georgia; Sarah Gray Chapman of Cartersville, Georgia; and Jessica Lee Gray of Florence, South Carolina. Each of them carries forward the love and lessons their mother instilled in them, making Patricia’s legacy one of strength and artistry.

With a heart full of warmth and kindness, Patricia touched the lives of many, and her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. In accordance with her wishes, no memorial services will be held, allowing her family and friends to remember her in their own, personal ways.

As the sun sets on a life richly lived, Patricia Gray leaves behind a tapestry of memories that speak of love, creativity, and family that will endure through the generations.
