Longtime Burnsville resident, Retired Lt. Col. Clarence H. Bush Jr., 90, died peacefully at Presbyterian Village in Austell, Georgia June 14, 2020.  He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Elsie Marie Bush; daughters Lea Foster and husband Jerry and Jody Vise and husband Jon; 5 grandsons, Zac, Aaron & Josh Foster and Seth & Jared Vise; and 8 great grandchildren.  Born in Rich Patch, Virginia, February 20, 1930, Clarence joined the Army Air Corps in 1948.  His career began as a hurricane hunter in Bermuda where he brought his bride, Elsie, after their wedding December 25, 1950.  Together they traveled the world for 31 years as Clarence served in the Air Weather Service of the Air Force.  Once retired, they made Burnsville their home and shared the beauty of the area with their extended family until 2014 when they moved to Atlanta to be closer to family.  He is now in his heavenly home with his Savior Jesus Christ. A memorial service will be held in Burnsville later in the year. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to the Parkinson’s Foundation, the Alzheimer’s Foundation, or Compassion International.
