Richard Lee Sadler

Richard Lee Sadler, 75, of Canton, Georgia, passed away on December 2, 2020 in Canton, Georgia.

Funeral services and military burial will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, December 15 at the Georgia National Cemetery.  Arrangements are being made by In Their Honor Funeral Home in Jasper.

Richard was born on September 16, 1945 in Brooklyn, New York to parents Maurice Edward and Florence Virginia Sadler.  He married Linda Morgan Sadler on April 17, 1982, in Aiken, South Carolina.  Richard graduated with honors from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado.  He was retired from a career in information systems management, and was a veteran of the Vietnam War Era, serving in West Germany in the Air Force.

Richard is survived by his wife Linda Sadler, and his sons: Daniel Sadler; Benjamin Sadler; and Benjamin Morgan and his wife Michelle and their children, grandchildren Haden and Weston Morgan; and family members Joe and Pat Kraft, parents of Michelle and grandparents of Hayden & Weston, and Jeff Kraft.  Also, his sister Barbara Sadler Fritze; sister- and brother-in-law Patricia and Ricky Huey, niece Morgan Huey and nephew Braden Huey; mother-in-law Travelle Morgan and sister- and brother-in-law Peggy and Paul Akin, and nephew Rob Akin.  In a family bound by love, many other family members also feel his loss.

Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association in lieu of flowers.  His family would like to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to all those who participated in his care and support over the years.

He will be greatly missed.
