Robert Lee Scott, Sr.

Robert Lee Scott, 85, of Fairmount Ga, passed away on June 4, 2023 of natural causes in the comfort of his home. Born on November 4, 1937 in Concord, FL, Bob was known for being extremely hardworking and especially devoted and loving to his family and friends. Bob could always be counted on for encouragement and, although he had a gentle spirit, was also known to be a big (yet harmless) flirt.

Bob was a graduate of Florida State University High School. He served in the Army Reserves for 14 years. In addition to his military service, Bob worked as a police officer, mail carrier, and was a pioneer in the school book fair industry for over forty years.

In his free time, Bob loved gardening, farming, watching his birds and spoiling his three Yorkies: Gadget, Bitsy, and Izzy. He was a faithful council member of Fairmount United Methodist Church and could always be counted on to help where needed.

Bob is survived by his loving wife, "Kiti" Calista-Fisher Scott, brother Donald Scott, son Robert L. Scott, Jr., daughter Robin Herbick, and step-daughter, Trish Draa. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Aimee Angeli, Robert Herbick Jr., Andrew Herbick, Sarah Fridley, and Wesley Fridley, as well as several amazing great-grandchildren.

Visitation with family will be held at 3:30 p.m. with a Memorial Service to follow at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Fairmount United Methodist Church located at 121 Calhoun St, Fairmount GA 30139. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Heart Association.
