Russell Pendley

Russell Pendley, age 75, of Jasper, Georgia, a United States Army Veteran and Purple Heart recipient, passed away Friday, July 29, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family. Visitation will be Saturday, July 30 from 11AM to 9PM and Sunday, July 31 from 10AM to 2PM at In Their Honor of Jasper Funerals and Cremations. Funeral service will be 3PM Sunday, July 31 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens with Military Honors by DAV Chapter 47 of Jasper. Mr. Pendley is survived by his wife of 53 years Linda Pendley; son Scotty Pendley and wife Jamie, of Jasper, Georgia; daughter Crystal Walker and husband Marcus, of Jasper, Georgia; brothers Larry Pendley and wife Bessie “Dolly”, of Marble Hill, Georgia; Tom Pendley and wife Gina, of Jasper, Georgia; sisters Joyce Chumley and husband Ronnie, of Tate, Georgia; Mary Lee and husband Tony, of Jasper, Georgia; Martha Elischer and husband Jon, of Tate, Georgia; grandchildren Brooklyn, Isabelle, Julia, Elliemae, and Elijah. Russell was honored to serve his country in the Vietnam Conflict. He worked for Coca Cola Company as a fleet mechanic for 33 years. He also enjoyed summer and fall gardening, cutting wood, working on cars, hunting, watching television and being a great provider for his family.
