Samuel Winfield Port Jr., age 76, a Navy Veteran of Jasper, Georgia passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones at Piedmont Mountainside on November 10th, 2022.
Samuel is predeceased by his parents, Catherine and Samuel Winfield Port Sr.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Judy Port; his children: Samuel Joseph Port and Sonja (Sid Jr.) May.
Samuel worked for Evenflo for 40 years and in his leisure he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He will be lovingly remembered and sorely missed.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 12th, 2022 with visitation from 10AM-11AM. The service will start promptly at 11AM in the chapel of In Their Honor of Jasper with Father Mark Starr officiating.
Inurnment will take place on Tuesday, November 29th, 2022 at 9AM at Georgia National Cemetery.
