Sylvia Louise Hanson, age 87, of Adairsville, Georgia went home peacefully to our LordJesus on Thursday, May 16, 2024. Born on September 5, 1936 in Manchester, Connecticut, she was the daughter of Harold and Rena Hodge.
She lived most of her life in Manchester and raised her children in South Windsor, Connecticut.
She retired as a nuclear lab technician for Combustion Engineering and then worked in the bakery at Big Y.
Sylvia loved reading, country music, bird watching and gardening. She crocheted many blankets and decorated custom cakes for friends and family.
Sylvia’s greatest passion was her love for her family. She had eight children, 18 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Cheryl Coope and son, Larry “Bud” Howley, and is survived by her loving children: Debby Silvia, Laurie Ambro, CindyLu Greenberg, Heidi Lenhardt, Daniel Hanson and Scott Hanson.
She will be missed and remain in our hearts forever.
