Thomas James (Jim) Daugherty
Born February 13th, 1940 in Princeton, West Virginia.
Called to Heaven June 2nd, 2023.
Jim grew up in Solway, Tennessee before joining the United States Navy. Jim proudly served his country on the U.S.S. Saratoga.
Jim spent 32 years working at Atlantic Steel Company where he retired and started driving a school bus with Cherokee County School System.
After serving in the Navy Jim returned home and married “The Love of His Life”, and wife of 60 years Patsy Hatmaker Daugherty. Together they had two sons, Tommy (Tina) Daugherty and Timmy (Stacie) Daugherty and one adopted son Eddie Daugherty. Jim has four Grand Children Justin (Nellie) Daugherty, Kamen (Sydney) Daugherty, Luc Daugherty and McKae Daugherty. Jim also has five Great Grand Children Liv, Gideon, Jude, Paige and Ezra Daugherty.
Jim was proceeded in death by his parents Thomas Daugherty and Thelma Six Daugherty, along with two sister’s Anna Lee Patton, Mary Lou Eastridge, and one brother Wayne Daugherty.
Jim had a great love for God, Country and his Family.

Family will receive friends at In Their Honor of Jasper Funeral Home on Saturday, June 10th from 1 PM - 3 PM. Located at 481 Noah Drive, Jasper, Ga. 30143. The service will be held in the chapel at 3 PM.
On Monday, June 12th an inurnment service will be held at the Georgia National Cemetery located in Canton, Ga. at 9 AM. A police escorted procession will leave In Their Honor Of Jasper at 8:00 a.m. sharp. If you would like to be a part of this procession please be at our funeral home no later than 7:30 a.m. backed in to a parking spot please.
