Tony Alvin Rider, age 71, of Jasper, Georgia passed away October 27, 2023. Memorial service will be 2PM Friday, November 3, 2023 in the Chapel of In Their Honor of Jasper Funerals and Cremations. The family will receive friends from 1PM til 2PM. Rev. Sanford Fountain will officiate the service. Mr. Rider is preceded in death by mother Hattie Pairlee Wright, Father Alvin Addington Rider, sister Georgia Ann King; half brother Lindsey Lewis. Tony is survived by daughter Heather Rider Battersby, of Canton, GA; son Nicholas Tony Rider; brother and sister-in-law William and Oralee Rider, of Jasper, Georgia; brother-in-law Dean King of Jasper Georgia; friend Faye Page, of Jasper, Georgia. In his later years, he loved motorcycles, classic cars / trucks, yard sales, dancing, collecting model ships, and, in his on way, his children.
