William Donald Cook

William Donald (Don) Cook, 90, of Jasper, Georgia, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2023, at his home. He was born July 12, 1932, in Milan, Telfair County, Georgia.

Don is survived by his wife of 62 years, Joan, daughter, Lisa Cook of Gainesville, FL, son-in-law, Christopher Peardon of Anderson, SC, and grandsons, John Peardon of Colorado Springs, CO, Jared Peardon of Anderson, SC, and Andrew Peardon of Denver, CO. He is also survived by brother and sister-in-law, Ben and Marsha Cook of Marietta, Georgia, along with a number of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Millard Alexander and Elizabeth Walker Cook; sister, Claire Lowery; brothers, Hal Cook, and Quay Cook and daughter, Lori Peardon.

Don received an Associate Degree from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, Georgia, and served in the United States Marine Corp, a combat veteran of the Korean War.

Funeral services will be held at Fellowship Presbyterian Church, at 10 AM, Friday, May 19, 2023 with Rev. Blake Hudson officiating. Interment will follow at 2:30 PM in the Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, Georgia.
